episode you're listening to it right now so let's get started. This is a film club episode of Luke's English podcast today

because in this one I'm going to talk to you about a really great documentary film

that you can watch on Netflix or on DVD and it's about the true story of a mountain climbing adventure

which goes horribly wrong and then turns into an epic battle for survival.

It's an incredible story and a fantastic documentary which

won six awards including a BAFDA for Best British Film in 2004. The film is called Touching the Void. Touching the

Void and A Void, that's VO-I-D. A void is basically like a large frightening space like a large frightening space that's totally empty dark and

frightening space like for example, you know, outside in the galaxy, the darkness of space is kind of a

void or imagine like a huge hole in the ground, like a totally dark empty hole that could be described

as a void as well.

So like a scary dark empty space. And this film is called Touching the Void and I guess the the title of the film

should become clear as you learn more about what actually happens in the story.
