Summary

Was this one of the most embarrassing Seattle Seahawks losses in recent history? We kick off the show by comparing it to one of the worst losses from Pete Carroll's first season as head coach as we discuss the broader implications of a lopsided defeat. Was this performance an indicator of deeper flaws? The Seahawks' struggles in the trenches continue, but we disagree on how to proceed. Should the team force a commitment to the run game or continue to stick with strategies that have brought success to this point? With the absence of DK Metcalf, it had an impact on the offense but it didn't impact the outcome.

We also get into the leadership dynamics within the team, after comments made by Richard Sherman and others about the perceived lack of leadership. The issue seems to be more about a lack of cohesive messaging rather than an absence of leaders. With the Los Angeles Rams game on the horizon, could we see rock bottom for the team or could this game serve as a turning point for the Seahawks this season.

In the second half of the show, we recap the worst weekend of the NFL season. Not only did the Seahawks lose big, every other team in the division picked up a victory. We talk about the meetup at the game and the results of last week's pickem league. Do better call outs go to a runner who survived disorientation in the woods for almost a month and to Anthony Richardson who survived shaking a tackler. Better at life honors go out to a former Seahawks player and to the Community Notes feature on social media that is helping to inform people about Skip Bayless' nonsense.

Maybe, gosh, as far as games that I've gone to and watched in person,

0:25.4

this is probably the second worst game I've ever been to. Wow. Okay. Yeah. And I can see exactly

0:32.9

how that would be. So honestly, I should probably thank Brittany for getting me sick right before and not

0:40.5

been able to make it out. It was probably for the better, I guess. That was capital of you,

0:46.0

capital G, capital Lee. That was as capital ugly as it gets, man. And I think, you know,

0:54.0

we broke it down on the post game show a little bit. Clinton and I know you and Clinton got into it on three and three out. And, you know, we've kind of gone through the nuts and bolts of the game quite a bit, it seems like. Yeah. And we can get into some of that still here again. But I feel like out of this game, there's been a lot of big picture topics that I've

been hearing floated around throughout the interwebs.

1:16.7

And so it'll be interesting to see how you're feeling after seeing that crap show live

1:21.6

and in person in comparison to maybe the TV copy.

1:26.8

Yeah, I don't know what there is really to cover when a game is that lopsided,

1:33.7

which is why I was kind of starting off with comparing it to one of the worst losses that I have ever been to,

1:40.2

or maybe the worst loss that I was ever at,

1:42.9

which happened to be Pete Carroll's first

1:46.1

season as head coach of the Seahawks and they're playing the New York Giants.

1:51.7

And I, I want to say it was 31 to nothing at half time.

1:56.8

Do you remember that game?

1:58.9

That was a white worst game. Yep.

2:01.6

He was the quarterback and it did not go well.

2:06.6

In fact, I distinctly remember walking back to the car with my mom because we decided to leave at half time is the only game that I have ever left early.
