So for those of you who may not know, and there's a lot to know about Candace Nelson,

but she is a serial entrepreneur, a New York Times bestselling author,

a Wall Street Journal contributor, an angel investor, a TV personality, an executive producer,

and a mom.

Candice worked in investment banking and then at an internet startup before shifting years to

follow her passion and attend pastry school. And in 2005, she opened the doors to Sprinkles,

which is the world's first cupcake bakery, of which I am a fan and my daughter in particular

is a fan. And despite the early naysayers, this tiny bakery in Beverly Hills disrupted the legacy

bakery, bakery industry and ignited a worldwide cupcake phenomenon.
