The Important Cinema Club. And today, we're talking about two of the funniest slapstick guys around,

Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer. You worked very hard on that intro. Boy, I was struggling. You really knew what the sentence was going to be when you started saying. Slap dash, tumbling. Well, what are some adjectives? Bumblers. Bumblers or troublemakers? Goof balls. Yeah. So, folks, we are inaugurating a new month here at the Important Cinema Club. Last month was Shocktober. Oh! But Chuck Dover's over and it's nothing but last November.

Yeah. International month. Yeah, yeah, worldwide. Nothing but last worldwide. You know, in the past, we have done International Month in a previous November. We spent International Month talking about movies from countries that we had never tackled on the show before. Yeah we're doing something little differently this year we're going to be talking about comedians who are hugely popular in one part of the world maybe in many

parts of the world yeah but haven't really crossed over to north america if you're listening to

this anywhere but north america you may be like well ter, Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer are one of the great

comedy gods. What are you? Stop listening right now. Because we are, I'd never seen a Terrence Hill or Bud Spencer. Sorry, actually, that's not true. I'd never seen a Hill and Spencer movie before this week. I had, of course, seen Superfuzz. Oh, a Terrence Hill film. Which I think is maybe aside from they call me Trinity.

I feel like Superfuzz may be the film Terrence Hill film. Which I think is maybe aside from, they call me Trinity, I feel like Superfuzz may be

the film with one of these two guys that's crossed over the most.

Because if you were a boomer or a Gen Xer, apparently a lot of them watched it on HBO.

Superfuzz was a movie that Justin and I both saw at the University of Toronto, like the Cinema Studies

Student Union played it for Cult Night. And I remember Peter Koppowski coming and saying,

so we've never seen this movie. We don't know what it is, but we saw the trailer and it looks

pretty crazy. Enjoy. And Superfuzz is delightful. Look up the trailer right now. Superfuzz is about a cop who gets superpowers. He's the wackiest inspector, this side of Inspector Clues up. Isn't it Ernest Borgnine? That's his partner in that movie? Yes, because it's one of those Italian movies that's trying to convince you. It's American. Yeah. And so I saw Superfuzz that night, as you did. Delightful. Had a great time.

Yeah.

One of the great Italian directors.

He of the Great Silence and Django, you know, filed it away for a number of years.

And then in 2022, when I was in the city of Berlin, can I go along on this story for just a little bit?

Absolutely.

Because where else am I going to, except on the Bud Spencer, Terrence Hill episode? By the way, we're just going to be accompanied by the Superfuzz music for a moment. So I was at a pizzeria in Munich, I think, and they had a bunch of options on the menu. There was the Schwarzenegger, the Stallone, the famous names, the Brando, and there was the Bud Spencer. And were you like, what the heck? I mean, I knew who it was. But I was like, Bud Spencer is, really? Is he that famous? And then a few days later in Berlin, I saw that there was a Bud Spencer Museum in, like in the museum district. Okay? So I went there, had a great time. And you had never seen a Bud Spencer Terrence Hill film.
