And smiling meant you weren't working hard enough.

So you were a lawyer? How did that go? What am I doing here? Why can't I be doing something like Aaron Brockovich, you know,

or like why can't I be prosecuting murders or civil rights?

Around the same time, I noticed an ad in The Washington Post for acting classes.

Real actors.

I knew they were on East Coast.

Uh-oh.

Looks like someone caught the acting bug.

Next week, I came in and told them,

you can't fire me.

I quit.

I'm going to be an actor.
