minute podcast on Mondays, which are shorter and more informal episodes where we

answer your listener questions, and then we'd typically release more of a full-length interview

style or in-depth episode on Wednesdays. That's kind of our normal cadence but today

we are releasing a bonus episode on a Friday. Our guest is Jay Nickel.

He runs a website and YouTube page called Mindful Hunter, which you'll hear about.

And Jay someone I've been aware of for years,

been following his stuff, his hunt films,

his gear reviews, and more.

And then last year he did a big in-depth independent PAC review in comparison and then we spoke with

him on the podcast after that review about some of the things that he learned in that

process, some of the misconceptions about PACs and more. So that's a previous episode

where Jay has been on our podcast and I'll leave a link to that in the show description as well as a link to his

Pack review and speaking to reviews that's one thing we talk about with Jay today is we talk about gear and gear reviews, why things

aren't necessarily always independent with gear reviews, why sometimes, especially a view as a hunter, have already made a gear decision, you

should stop thinking about it.

You should stop looking at reviews.

When you've made your decision, go hunt, go use that gear, we talk about those topics and a whole lot more, how to be more consistent as a hunter.
