Yeah, I've had that happen to me with a rotwiler that would hear the chirps and about four in the morning.

And then I ended up, you know, because of course the house that I had in Chicago had all the fire alarms wired into the house power.

And then for some reason, they just stopped in the backup battery didn't work.
