Born and raised in New Jersey, Nicole has always had a balance between being academic and being creative; she grew up as a competition dancer, went to Drexel University on a dance scholarship, and graduated with a degree in marketing and retail merchandising.

Hamilton was Nicole's first official gig right out of college and after five years of the bullet, performing over 1500 shows in over 50 cities, Nicole started to look towards the future. She jumped at the opportunity to make a change and take on more responsibility and with her post-Hamilton life in mind, she made the decision to turn her world upside down and become a swing.

Nicole is also a big reader and makes a point to exclusively read diverse, non-male authors so she has some great recommendations if you too are sick and tired of the patriarchy.

Before we do anything else, can you just tell the listeners your pronouns? Sure. I use she-her pronouns. Thank you so much. So, Nicole, you are currently the bullet on the Philip tour. Is that right?
0:39.8	Well, this is a fresh change, probably something in the last couple of weeks, but I'm actually a swing now.
0:46.7	Fun. So, yeah, I was the bullet for about five and a half years from 2019 up until this year. And yeah, and then I made the switch
0:57.6	to swinging. So I'm about to debut a new track this weekend. And it's just been really exciting for me.
1:03.7	Yay. Congratulations. Okay, great. I can't wait to hear all of that, you know, that entire journey because
1:08.3	I was going to say, you've been with Hamilton since like 2019.
1:17.6	Yes, it's been a long journey. I obviously love the show. I love being here and doing this show with everyone. So I can't get enough of it. I'm just going to keep on going.
1:21.6	Great, because we can't get enough of you. So that works out for everyone, I think. So yeah, let's dive in. Like, I just want to hear, you know,
1:28.0	your life story, your Hamilton story. As we said before we hit record, like, we both have kind of all
1:32.9	day. So spare no detail. Let's get into all of it. Like, where are you from? How did this whole
1:38.4	thing happen? Let's see. Well, I'm from New Jersey, originally. And I went to school for marketing, actually, but in that time, I knew that I wanted to still be performing and pursuing a career in dance.
1:53.3	So after I graduated, I really did focus on working and training in New York.
2:00.4	So I was living in New Jersey and training in New York. So I was living in New Jersey and training in New York.
2:03.5	And that's when I got my first Hamilton audition.
2:07.4	It was maybe November 2018.
2:10.7	And yeah, I had a couple of auditions between November and January.
2:15.9	And even in between there after seeing after the first audition
2:20.4	I um I begged my mom I was like mom I need to see this show like if I'm going to be auditioning
2:26.9	for it I have to see it live I need to see what they're looking for what they're doing on that
2:32.4	stage and see if it's something that's right for me.
