What I shot was not a deer from Tank 2499. I was born and raised in the southern United States, a part of Louisiana to be exact.

Skills like hunting, fishing, camping, and even bushcraft were taught to me by my father and

grandfather from a very young age.

So it made sense I always wanted to be doing something outdoors.

When I was about 17, I had decided I wanted to go on a solo bow hunting trip.

Nothing major, just one night at my camp and one full day of hunting.

So I packed up my gear, told my folks what I was doing, and made my way out into the woods.
