Hey, it's Michelle here. Before we jump into the episode today, quick question for you.

0:04.8

Are you the one who works so hard to keep everyone around you happy? Maybe you are starting to realize

0:11.8

that you really struggle to say no. Maybe you just give and give and give and give. And somewhere

underneath all of that giving, there's a quiet exhaustion that just never quite goes away.

0:22.3

You really love being connected to people and you trust easily and you're warm and you're

0:27.1

talkative and you're the one that everyone comes to. But maybe you also find yourself wondering

0:32.4

what others think of you or you're working over time to keep the peace, or you're saying yes,

0:57.1

your nervous system, your body adapted, your nervous system built a defense against that

1:03.1

overwhelm. And over time, that defense became a habit. And then that habit became a pattern.

is actually just an old pattern running the show. So there are five different capacity patterns.

1:20.3

And these aren't personality types like the Enneagram or the Myers-Briggs. They actually

1:24.8

describe the specific strategy that your nervous system defaults to whenever

1:30.2

you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed or max out at capacity. They don't describe who you are

1:37.4

as much as they describe what's blocking who you are. And once you know your pattern,

1:43.4

you can actually do something about it.

So if you haven't yet, go check out my free What's Your Capacity Pattern Quiz. The link is in the show
