Summary

How frustrating was the loss to the New York Giants? There are still elements of the game that have us scratching our heads. We get into the offensive struggles and the questionable play-calling decisions that are leading us to ask an important question: Is it a Ryan Grubb issue, or is Coach Mike McDonald more involved with the offensive philosophy than we have been thinking? We get into three things Mike said in the last two days that lead us to explore the philosophical approach of the Seahawks' offense and why it might be setting the team up for failure.

On the defensive side, the struggles appear to be more related to execution rather than philosophy. We take a look at the run game issues and linebacker performance, particularly focusing on Jerome Baker's "guesses." Despite the defensive struggles, does the offense bear the brunt of the blame for the latest loss? Special teams also come under scrutiny, especially after a blocked field goal that could have turned the game around.

Looking ahead, we preview the upcoming matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Can the Seahawks' defensive line capitalize on the 49ers' offensive line weaknesses and will the offensive line be able to slow down Nick Bosa and exploit the Niners' secondary? Plus, we're already seeing internal drama within the 49ers' locker room. Are Niners fans right that it is time to move on from their current coach? We suggest at least one recommendation. With a short week ahead, the Thursday night showdown will be another important test for our Seattle Seahawks.

And I don't know about you, Brandon, but still annoyed.

0:25.2

That's how I feel.

0:26.8

I may even be more annoyed just based on some of the commentary.

0:31.1

I heard listening to Coach Mike following the game.

0:34.9

I don't know if you got that impression, but I'm starting to maybe read more into some of his commentary than I should.

0:44.2

And I think that's the part that's grinding me a little bit.

0:47.8

Well, hey, let's start there.

0:49.1

I mean, we could talk more about the game in context with what Mike had to say.

0:53.6

commentary was on the offensive philosophy and Ryan Grubb and not getting to the run enough.

1:11.3

And I'm starting to wonder if it's not necessarily a Ryan Grubb issue.

1:17.7

Like, I'm starting to become skeptical that it's a Ryan Grubb issue.

1:21.0

And it's more of a collaboration between Coach McDonald and Coach Grub and that this is just how they want to play.

1:30.4

Interesting.

So because I listen to Mike and they ask him about the run game,
