π TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

| 0:00.0 | Good morning, my friends. I start out with the question for you today. Who can |
| 0:06.5 | separate you from the love of Christ? Obviously, the answer is nobody. Nobody can separate us from the love of God that comes to |
| 0:18.7 | us through Jesus Christ. That is the only thing I have to say to you today that is worth anything. |
| 0:27.0 | We've got to get this into our heads and deep, deeply rooted in our hearts. |
| 0:34.0 | Because it is the source of our confidence, |
| 0:38.0 | it is the source of our perseverance in hard times. |
| 0:42.0 | It is the source of resilience and determination because it is |
| 0:48.6 | at the root of how we feel when it comes to hope in life. |
| 0:55.0 | You see, if we don't believe we are loved, |
| 0:58.0 | if we don't believe that God loves us, |
| 1:00.0 | but rather that he's upset with us, |
| 1:02.0 | he's a little perturbed all the time. |
| 1:04.5 | We live our lives in this place of unsettledness. |
| 1:09.2 | We live in a place of a fear, in apprehension, and and doubt and uncertainty. |
| 1:16.0 | But God has told us here in the scriptures, |
| 1:19.0 | Romans chapter 8, that the love of Christ is something we can never ever ever be separated from. |
| 1:28.1 | Because what Jesus did in dying on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin and then rising from the grave to overcome |
| 1:36.1 | the penalty of sin was enough for us it was enough to bring us securely into his love. In fact, he did all of those things because of his love for us. |
| 1:48.6 | And so let's read the passage just slowly and in an extended kind of a way to let it sink in. |
| 1:56.0 | I encourage you. Stop for a moment, whatever you're doing. If you're driving and you can |
| 2:00.8 | pull over, stop and pull over. |
| 2:03.4 | Let's close our eyes, let's take a deep breath, let's let ourselves be ready to absorb |
