I'm your host Ian Hartitz and today we're continuing our positional run down with a look

at the ever important running back position.

Had a couple, maybe some would argue a few too many drinks last night and kind of went

on a Twitter rampage of like 1 a.m.

and marking about how at every level football you grow up on the playground, high school,

college, the best players, usually on your team or playing running back or at a minimum

of the coaches are trying to optimize that position.

Only in the NFL do we get to the point where let's say next year as Zico Elliott goes

for 2000 total yards and 20 touchdowns.

I remain convinced the first word out of most people's mouths would be how the cowboy still

shouldn't have paid him that much money.

So just one of those things where I do appreciate and fancy football.

Is it running back the most important position?

No, should he pay running back a bunch of money in the salary cap era?

No, but we don't need to beat a freaking dead horse every single time we talk about running

back and just bring up how they're not paid.

Like, you know, I'm just, I'm sorry, man, I usually give you a better intro, but let's

just get into this for a second, man.

It's one of those things like what's going to happen when Zico tires?

Everyone's just going to look at his tenure and be like, never should have dropped

the fourth overall, shouldn't have given the contract, you know, he can literally go
