and ADHD Safe Effective Treatment Options.

Today's presentation is Dr. Timothy Willens.

Dr. Willens is an associate professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School in Boston

and a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research interests include the

relationship between ADHD, bipolar disorder and substance use disorders and the treatment of

these disorders across a person's lifespan. Dr. Willens peer-reviewed articles have been

published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the American Journal of Psychiatry,

and in the Journal of Pediatrics. In today's webinar, Dr. Willens will explain the relationship

between substance use disorder and ADHD. Adults with untreated ADHD are at higher risk for substance

abuse than their neurotypical peers. Dr. Willens will discuss treatment strategies for substance abuse

and also approaches to prevent substance misuse. We'd like to begin today's webinar by asking two
