And this is the third part in our four-part series on the

gunpowder treason of 1605, also known as the gunpowder plot. It's the most infamous act of treason

in British history, an attempt to strike a terrible blow against the state that would unquestionably

have changed the course of British history. So there's a reason why treason and traitors are particularly on your mind, David, as we tell this story.
