Now last week we had one of our podcast specials, where we did part one of my conversation

with General Stuart Watson. We brought you up to the eve of D-Day. Well, this is part two.

And you'll see Stuart landing on D-Day on Sword Beach and going all the way through to the bridge

at Niamhagan, part of Operation Market Garden. I hope you find it as interesting as I did.

So you land on Sword Beach on D-Day? Yeah. I presume it is the big reveal is when you're

as you say in the LCT. Well, we were actually told in Gospald. When you got on D-Day on D-Day

T, there was a S-Day, there was a Hessian bag. Right. A S-Day. Which contained the maps in the

alphabet. The real maps. Not the ones in Poland. No, it was said cool. And it said you're not

to open this until you sail. It's a saying, our second big man said, well, I'm going to wait

anywhere, you'll be alright. You're on the LCT now. Then of course, they did lift the thing about

24 hours. Right. I wish probably ridden it. I mean, we looked at the map. So you stayed on the LCT?

Yes. Well, they couldn't, they couldn't postpone it again. No. So we said that, we had an extra night

there as well. I mean, we embarked on the fourth and sailed on the fifth.

Oh, that must have seemed interminable. It just had been a rather long time waiting. Yeah.

In the same time, what do you hover around in the soland for a bit? No, we just sat in Gospald.

Right. I don't think so. But on the LCT. On the LCT. Yeah.

It was full of the, of course, including us, I mean, of the fact that the opposite was all kinds.

And the, and the, the, the DDS was in separate LCTs, obviously, just them. No, the, no other vehicles.

And we crossed over. It was quite rough.

Feelings of nerves and apprehension or, yes, I think so. People, quite a lot of people see

see anywhere. We settled off. And the, the next exciting, that's right, where somebody decided
