This week we continue our seventh anniversary celebration with a story from my dear friend,

Hannes Finney.

I got one of those phone calls last year.

You know the kind of phone call, I mean the bad news phone calls. Of course I thought I was completely prepared.

But as usual, I was full of shit.

So this isn't necessarily a happy story.

My brother Dave, schizophrenic. I spent the last 30 years, really, probably more than 30 years,

eating junk food and smoking and smoking and smoking

and smoking, that was his primary.

So when I got a call saying that he had cancer of the tongue, which had spread to the throat,

that was a call I've been expecting.

Oh, that's really horrible.

It's going to suck. It's going's really horrible. It's going to suck.

It's going to smell bad.

Everything is going to be terrible.

But when we leave, we're going to go to culvers and get deep-fried cheese curds.
