Welcome back everybody to The Incomparable.

I'm your host Jason Snell, and in this episode we're going to, you know, I was originally going to save this slot and we were going to do our clip show, but we're going to have to wait a week for that because a movie was released and demanded, uh, it basically

demanded our attention. And that was Spider-Man colon, into the Spider-verse, an animated film released

here in December of 2018 as we record and release this the very end of the year. And, you know,

I thought I knew what my favorite animated film, or my favorite film, frankly, of 2018 was going to be.

And then I saw Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse.

And I know I've given away my opinion here, but it was the best movie I saw the whole year.

I loved it.

And it's not just because I love Spider-Man, although that was part of it.

Joining me to talk about this animated film that on paper you look at and just kind of roll your eyes and say,

oh boy, here comes Sony trying to make some more money on their Spider-Man license.

And it's really not.

It's so much more than that.
