Today I'm joining El Grover Fricks to search out what life can be found in two short verses from the Sermon on the Mount.

Why don't you jump straight on in to that verse or set of verses?

Okay, in the RSV. Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets. I have come not to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot will pass from the law until all is accomplished.

Mm-mm.

Okay.

So where have we been?

What have we been up to?

We took a break, right?

Um, between sessions.

So if you recall, we ended our last series in this line of Talmudic Matthew

talking about salt and light. And one of the main things we came away from that passage with

is the idea that both salt and light are talking about how we walk out Torah.

If you don't remember what I'm talking about, feel free, go back, listen again.

It's still good stuff in my extremely biased opinion.

But it's talking about how do we walk out the path of God, right?

How do we lechlecha? How do we walk just like Abraham did and follow in the footsteps of Jesus?

Is that what that means?

That's the title of a parshah coming up for me in a couple of weeks as I'm studying.

Well, it'll be a while ago by the time this episode comes out.
