My name is Sarah Griffith. My name is Bertrick Greenberg and we are on number two of three four. Well, actually maybe two of four technically, but two of three for our purposes of the matrix.

This is the matrix reloaded. Correct. I have so much to say about this movie. I'm excited to hear it all because I honestly do not.

Okay. You've seen this movie before. I have let's talk about that. I've seen this movie before. I did not remember it.

Okay. Or I barely remembered it. I knew the gist of what happened and I knew what the cool scenes were. And they were much cooler when I saw them originally to me.

Okay. But yeah, overall, I find this movie significantly less interesting than the original matrix.

Sure. I think the original matrix explore. And this is kind of overcurring theme I might have with franchises is that in this first movie.

In the first movie, the matrix they explore, it's like one interesting philosophical idea that we are exploring and kind of unpacking in matrix two.

They it's a lot of different ideas that are half explored and not nearly as interesting or specific as what we explore in one.

I think this is a pitfall that a lot of franchises that we're not planning to make franchises, but then made a bunch of money fall into is that they're like we told our story we explored our theme didn't need to be explored more or we just going to dig ourselves into a hole.

And I do think this is overall what this movie does.

Okay. I had not seen it prior to I just watched it last night. So just a frame of reference. I'm hot.

And we also just watched a little bit of it now. Yeah. Yeah. I was lazy and Sarah walked in while I was, you know,

or watch the like the last hour of it. But you know what? That's okay.

Because my impression of this film prior to me seeing it is that it's fucking garbage. It sucks.

That's what I always heard. I also weirdly, when this movie came out, I was super in a reading mad magazine.

I'm like an old school satirist. I read the national anthem every man. Yeah, exactly. I'm like pretty intellectual in this way.

And like they did a whole issue that was parodying the matrix trilogy. Okay.

And so that was my impression of this film. So I always thought like, oh, everybody saw this movie and thought it was stupid.

Right. Can I tell you without a hint of irony? I loved this film.
