must start with your personal story around illness and subsequent weight gain and then weight loss.

So let's start there. Yeah, sure. So there's a lot to unpack. I'll have to take it back probably to

when I was around six years old in first grade. So I was basically having chronic like recurring

strep throat for months at a time and would keep getting pulled out of school because I was sick

on antibiotics for you know several rounds for multiple months and you know at one point my

mom was like you know this is ridiculous. She keeps getting pulled out so I'm just going to keep

her at home and homeschool her. So I was homeschooled for like half of first grade and all of second

grade while I was you know trying to get well and during that time my weight kind of spiraled.

So you know now in retrospect we know that early use antibiotics early in life can lead to obesity

later in life but at the time you know antibiotics were given out basically like candy and so when I

went back to school in third grade I weighed probably double my classmates and from there it kind

of just continued to spiral up until about the early junior year I guess I peaked probably around

270 pounds and you know in addition to that I just kind of had a bunch of health issues like I

would have constant skin issues terrible acne always some upper respiratory thing at least you

know three four times a year and you know I was kind of just done living that way I had a lot of
