This week on C-Talli-Run, I'm super excited to interview, Emma Grace Hurley.

Emma is the new USA-TF 10-mile champion and will forever be known as the 2026 U.S. ATF Mile national champion.

It has a great ring and she's been waiting for it.

Emma has been a professional athlete now for a few years and has been a constant in every race

she enters.

The title of national champion has been a long time coming for Emma Grace.

And to be honest, as an analyst, I'm not supposed to show favor, but I couldn't

help but get excited for this one. I was so pumped to see her finally break the tape. In this

episode, we hear all about that race, her journey into the sport, the trials and tribulations of life

as a pro, working outside the sport, and her favorite things. Oh, and we have some other things to share as well.

Hi, Emma Grace. How you doing? I'm good. Thank you for having me. How are you? I'm great.

I mean, first of all, I got to just say, I have been so excited to talk to you.

I know that this is, you know, about what, a week and a half after you won your first national championship, but I have been just on Cloud 9, like, thinking of you and so excited.

You know, as I said in the open, which you didn't get to hear, but like as an analyst,

I'm not supposed to, you know, show any favor, but I couldn't help it. I was so excited for you

when you won the Cherry Blossom, USATF 10 Mile Championship. So congratulations. Oh my gosh. Thank you

so much. That's so sweet. It was it was so great to finally kind of like get that done. And it was probably like the least I'd ever in the last like two years. It was probably like the least I thought I was going to win a race.

Really? Yeah. Well, I mean, did you see the sort list? Yes, I had to study you peeps. I mean, like, don't get me wrong. It wasn't that, like, deep in terms of like, it wasn't like I was looking at it. I was like I could get first or I could get 10th. Like, I was like, you know, like I should be up there. But yeah, it was the least I thought that I would get first in like probably two years. I mean, okay, so I don't need to say who was in it. I think it would be really cool for people to understand is like your mentality going into a race like that, because I used to run with Carmen Dumasar, who was an Olympian for Canada and like a meddled in the world champs.

She didn't want to know anyone that was in the race. Like actually she would get mad at us if we told her who was in the race. I liked to know who was in the race, but when I started the line, I just kind of went blurry. Like I didn't really, I focused on trying to get to the win. So tell us your process. Like, do you look through the list? Like, did you know, were you kind of dictating officer and people tell us about it?
