0:29.4	Just happy to be here, as always, getting to highlight a new guest in a women's voice is fun today.
0:36.5	Yeah, throughout this month, we are highlighting women's voices
0:39.0	in the sexual brokenness and recovery spaces and emphasizing that they have so much to say.
0:45.4	And today we got to interview Teresa Whiting, and I'll tell our listeners a little bit more
0:51.1	about her. But today's conversation was really circling around
0:56.0	what we see in scripture and the stories of so many women who have been impacted by
1:00.6	sexual brokenness.
1:03.6	Yeah, I really like what she brought to the table, and I kind of touched on it a little bit
1:08.3	in the episode, but we can find ourselves in camps of either
1:12.5	clinical psychology thinking or just all biblical. We only need Jesus in our Bible. And I really
1:20.1	like how she's using scripture to show God's heart to reduce shame and to allow you to show up
1:26.3	in your brokenness as you are because sometimes we miss that
1:31.9	when we're still living in our shame and we're in a Sunday sermon, we might pick up on the
1:37.6	things that make us feel unqualified.
1:41.2	And then we go home and we let that just take root and stir and so I like that
1:46.4	her her heart is to show us God's heart for us in scripture yeah Teresa makes it clear that
1:54.9	the God and the Bible don't shy away from these messy stories I will emphasize that
