Hi, I'm Sarah and I'm Helen. And this is the Squiggly Careers podcast. Every week we talk about a different topic to do with work and share some ideas and actions that we hope will help all of us to navigate our squiggly careers without a bit more confidence and control.

0:18.5

And today is one of those topics that I always kind of feel a bit funny talking about

0:23.0

because it's one that I feel like it's quite a mirror to my own behaviour.

0:26.4

So I always feel like I've got quite a lot to learn as well as hopefully creating a conversation

0:30.9

that other people can listen to and learn from.

0:32.9

So our topic for today is workahillism.

0:36.1

We're going to cover sort of some workerhism watch out. So in the conversation we'll talk about workahillism. We're going to cover sort of some workahillism watch

1:06.6

really significant part of every day. And we are trying to cover the breadth of things in our

1:12.5

conversation today, but we do want to say that if you feel this is something that's really

1:16.7

affecting you and it's really getting in your way at work, then there are other sources of support

1:21.2

that you can go to beyond this podcast that might be useful. And we've put the links for you

1:25.6

in the pod sheet. So we're going to give you

1:27.9

some practical ideas for action today. But if you need more than that, there are places that

1:32.2

will help you and you'll find them on the pod sheet. Just go to our website, amazingif.com,

1:36.9

go to the podcast page, download the pod sheet and you're able to find it or just email us.

1:41.8

We are Helen and Sarah at squiggly careers.com. So what is it to be a workaholic

1:47.7

and what isn't it? I think the most important thing that it's not is it's not about how many
