0:54.8 | It was the best. If you have followed along for a while, you may know that Brian, my husband and I, we've never lived in a house together before. |
1:02.6 | One that was ours. We always lived in apartments together in New York City and then in Wehock in New Jersey. |
1:08.8 | And then when the pandemic hit, we lived with my parents for a year and a half. |
1:13.1 | But now we are in our own place and it feels so wonderful and having Annie's friends here running around the yard, |
1:20.4 | playing in a bouncy house, doing an egg hunt. At one point during the party, I just looked out at the yard, filled with toddlers and their parents and I felt really, really, really happy. |
1:32.0 | And then I ran the New England half marathon the next day. That race was on Sunday and I went into it thinking there is no way it could go well considering how busy and exhausting things have been. |
1:44.4 | I don't think I ate or drank anything the entire day before because I was so busy doing stuff for Annie's party. |
1:51.5 | But it turned out to be a pretty great day on the run. The best day on the run. Actually, I ran a half marathon PR, a personal best, PR personal record, |
2:02.9 | which is something I had not done since 2011. So that feels pretty darn good to be able to say that my best ever time in the half marathon |
2:12.8 | was not only recent, but it came well into my 30s after having a child. So yeah, mom speed is real. I'm here to vouch for that. |
2:22.5 | And now we've got two weeks and then I'm back in New York City for my favorite weekend of the whole year. |
2:28.8 | Yeah, you know what it is. It's New York City Marathon week. There's so much going on. I will be in town for four and a half days. |
