On the creative journey it's easy to get lost but don't worry you'll lift off

sometimes you just need a creative pep talk.

Hey y'all I know it's a quiet week for most of you but I wanted to share this episode

because it's a rebroadcast of one of my all-time favorite episodes and

contains an analogy that I return to over and over and has really

helped me in my own creative practice.

And so we'll get to that in just a second.

But just to pre-frame why I'm sharing this episode today,

I don't know about you, but for me,

I can be a little bit like a kid at Christmas and I'm thinking about a new huge pile of toys and all

the brand new shiny things that I'm going to add to my creative practice in the new year without ever paying attention to or doing the work

of going through the stuff that I'm already doing, the stuff that's taking up space, the stuff that I need to get rid of.

And so this episode is meant to help you pinpoint what are the things in your creative practice that are no longer serving you and

Figure out how to let them go so that you can move on to that next stage and start dreaming and and thinking of new things to add with a fresh palette and a clean slate in the new year

without anything holding you

and the thing that's standing between you and your creative goals isn't a brand new idea

but the old ideas that you have kept in your creative practice even though they're not really

doing anything for you anymore.
