I spoke on a panel called

The New Frontiers of Speech,

along with Joel Thayer of the Digital Progress Institute,

Ashken Gazzarian,

former host of this show,

now at the future of free speech, and our intrepid moderator,

Luke Hogue of the Foundation for American Innovation. We discussed how the First Amendment

should work in a world of algorithms and AI.

Joel brings an alternative perspective from the viewpoints that we tend to express on this show.

So I am pleased to have him on via this panel recording.

In an event like this, you tend to walk off the stage with at least a couple things that you kick yourself for not saying.

My host's prerogative is to mention a handful.

I got into my usual refrain about how I believe Americans are not house trained,

and I cannot believe I failed to bring up my favorite example,

the Astor Place Riot.
