Coming up on this week's show, we'll get a review of Disney Magic. Yeah, Susie and her family just got back from a Northern Europe frozen cruise on Disney Magic. So it's super stoked to talk all about that. Stuart Sheer on the Cruise Guy here for Cruise News, just a couple of moments. Let's see, what else? Just got back from a six-night sailing on Carnival Vista, Western Caribbean. Got to interview Jay Leno on the cruise. That was actually really cool. We'll have some Western Caribbean commentary in our interview with Jay Leno on next week's show. Let's see, what else here? River Cruise Radio. Yeah, it's our other show. If you want to, if you're just curious about River Cruise, you're maybe wondering what it's like. You want to give it a listen, rivercruiserad.net or just punch in Rivercruiser Radio wherever you're listening to this. All right. It's time for Stuart. Sheer on the cruise guy. What's up,

Stuart? Hey, Doug. How's it going? The old carnival Jubilee has seen its last day. Yeah, it's unfortunate.

1:28.9

The China-based H&A cruises was unable to sell the ship. So the ship is heading to the scrapyard there in a lang.

1:31.4

So it's kind of where they take the ships.

1:38.6

They beat them, and then they have a crew of people that just go and tear the ship apart for scraps.

1:42.0

I think they tried to sell it for $35 million I was reading.

1:43.1

They couldn't get that for it.

1:48.8

You think they just try to lower the price and then offload it instead of scrapping it, but I guess it's what, over 30 years old at this point? Yeah, the ship began sailing in 1986. Prior to that, I mean, you had the holiday and the

celebration. Celebration is now, you know, kind of, I guess, on its last tour, sailing with a

tour operator out of

2:02.0

West Palm Beach, but the Jubilee, which was a, you know, widely loved ship for, you know,

2:08.2

being transferred many years ago to P&O Cruises, Australia, and sailed as the Pacific Sun, and then, you know,

2:15.2

it was sold to China's H&A cruises and you know needed a lot of upkeep to make the ship, you know, be able to, you know, make it seaworthy. And I guess, you know, we don't know what H&A is doing for my understanding. You know, they took a long time to get the ship paid off. And so, you know, here the ship is heading to the scrapyard because no one wanted it.

2:38.9

And one ship that is still sailing is Carnival Fantasy out of Mobile.

2:42.1

In fact, Carnival is doing some extended sailings from Mobile.

2:46.0

It is sailing for Mobile.

2:47.7

After, what was it, a five-year hiatus.
