Welcome back to Surf Splendor. My name is David Scales, and my big personal news to share with you this week is that I am getting married this weekend.

We are doing a destination wedding, somewhere with waves.

40 family members are traveling to join us, and the worst possible way for me to host them

or to kick off this union would be to work while I am gone. Putting my family and my lovely bride

to be on hold while I go and record podcasts. Can you imagine that?

But the reality is I love you too, our listeners. So I am recording this in advance. Full disclosure,

I'm recording this while I'm gone, but it's in advance of all of our activities and festivities.

And I in fact have a very special series of shows to share with you.

This was a series that I made for Vesla back in 2019.

It was never published here on Surf Splendor.

Visla brought me out to an event that they were doing in Manly,

where they had some of Australia's finest surfboard

shapers in attendance building surfboards on site. My job was to interview the shapers, help them

tell their stories. And what I was able to create was a four-part series, a mini-series. And I'm

going to publish two a week here on Surf Splendor for the next two weeks. So you are in fact going to get twice

as many episodes as you normally would while I am gone. So I win, you win, we all win. And
