So I'm really excited to record this episode, though I do notice I hear some thunder rumbling

in the distance a little bit.

We got a storm coming in today as I'm recording.

I'm actually enjoying that living here in the Midwest.

When we lived in California, you don't have a lot of weather variation there.

It's just always sunny or you get May, gray or June gloom.

A lot of the marine layer in clouds in the early part of summer.

So if you want to enjoy California weather, I always felt bad for people who wanted to

go see the sunshine and they would show up in June because you go to the beach and it's

usually covered in clouds like a really thick fog.

If you really want to enjoy Southern California, San Diego for someone who lived there for

several years, both of my family and then growing up there until I was about 10, 11 years

old, go in September, late August, September, go after Labor Day.

It's more of the off season and the weather's great because the Pacific Ocean is cold.

It's cold to swim around and gives you a little shock to the system.

But to get back off of that tangent, there would be storms here and there, but not too
