0:06.2

Burnt Timber Outfitters out of Heber, Arizona based out of Unit 3C. Daniel, how you

0:11.6

doing? Great, how you doing, Jay?

0:14.0

Good, we're just coming off of Turkey season.

0:18.0

I know you had a few tags up in Unit 3C and typically you're pretty hard on the birds up there how

0:25.4

was the turkey season? Not very good we we struggled it was it was a different year. It was extremely dry obviously and I think that definitely affected the birds. They just didn't want to play.

0:40.0

So we didn't put a dent in them this year like we normally do so should make next year maybe a little better

0:48.0

Do you think there'll be some holdover birds? I mean was your general consensus of even the guys with the general season tags and what have you

0:55.3

that the birds were just shut down and weren't real cooperative?

0:59.1

Yeah, yeah it was it was slow all the way around from the junior even into the generals. I've talked to a few of the guys that had general tags and it just just tough.

In fact, it got to the point where there was enough hunting pressure that it just set them down completely.

1:14.0

So we had a couple of days.

1:17.0

Sorry to interrupt, it makes me think of those days after the rodeo Chet a skyfire Daniel when we had what three or four maybe five years in a row there where the turkey hunting in 3c was just I mean literally

1:30.6

ridiculous and off the charts I I mean, I remember going out mornings where you go out,

1:36.2

I'd go out, Mikey'd go out, and we'd report back, you know, 15 different gobblers heard,

1:42.4

you know, roosted, you know, six different birds, you know, like,

1:46.0

where do you want to go? Oh, I got six over here, I got 12 over here, like I got three here,

1:51.5

got, you know, a couple lone birds here and it was a free for all and it's kind of it's kind of hard to hear it where it's kind of gotten to now? Yeah it's you know those were definitely the

2:05.3

good old days. It's you know we did see a slight rebound here a couple years ago

2:10.5

but it we're back down to our numbers are low. It's just you know it's just

2:15.6

tough to find so. What are obviously we've got the deer and sheep

2:22.0

regulations the applications here are due coming up like that second week in June.
