Search for the imperfects on the app you're listening on. On the morning of August 15th, 2002, Mike and Mary Short were found murdered in their rural Basset, Virginia home.

Their nine-year-old daughter, Jennifer, was nowhere to be found.

It quickly became clear that she had been abducted by the killer. An extensive search for Jennifer began, but sadly weeks later, her remains were found approximately 40 miles away from her home. She too had been murdered. It's been more than 21 years since Mike, Mary, and Jennifer Short were killed and investigators are still searching for the person responsible. Oh, Hey everyone. right there we're about to make an arrest and we're finally going to get the

answers to what happened to the Short family.

But then something happens and it completely changes the course of the investigation.

And obviously if we're covering it here on detective perspective, that means the case is still

unsolved.
