You saw a bit of a road in the foreground, and then a path that led down to the house.

There was a garden along that path leading down, and beyond the property you could see a glimpse of the ocean, or the sea, or lake, or whatever body of water it might have been.

The house itself peaked out from behind the trees in the garden, and you could make out

the stone walls, a bit of the roof, two chimneys, and two windows, one with the curtains

drawn, and one with them open.

I could probably paint the thing myself from memory if he gave me the canvas and a brush.
