Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of the Squiggly Career podcast with myself Helen Tupper and the co-founder of Amazing If Sarah Ellis.

0:09.3

Hi everyone. And tonight we're going to do a Q&A. We've done one of these before, but it's essentially where we've got different questions that have come up from our audience, whether they've been on email or on Instagram or on Twitter, and we kind of

0:21.1

collect them so that we can do a good Q&A for you. So I guess the good thing is you're going

0:26.9

to get loads of different tips. It's not on one theme. The bad thing is, it's really random.

0:30.7

So tonight in our answering Q&A, we've got everything from how you're going to get over a bad

0:35.2

day, how you can change careers, a bit around

0:38.5

effective meetings and also our favourite books and podcasts, which is what we're going to end on,

0:42.9

0:52.1

week ahead? Actually, I'm going on holiday, so that's what I'm most excited about.

0:56.6

So I've got a friend who I've not seen for about five or six years

1:01.2

visiting from Australia at the moment.

1:03.4

So I've got Wednesday afternoon off to spend some time with him,

1:05.9

which I'm very excited about.

1:07.5

And then we're going on holiday just for a few days in the UK.

1:12.9

But, you know, I find I actually really recommend sort of regular breaks. I think if you work in kind of quite a few peaks and troughs,

1:19.1

which I do, having, you know, breaks where you can just have a couple of days off just to

1:24.5

almost like quickly refresh and recuperate so not not always big long

1:28.2

holidays I actually find really useful I mean in some ways the downside is obviously you don't hand

1:32.6

anything over so you essentially pick things up before and afterwards but I still just like those

1:37.6

little kind of extra long weekends away so I'm definitely kind of gearing up to that you've always been a fan

1:42.5

of the mini break, even three children.
