Hello and this is Lindsay and this is another CEO mama episode and this one is pulled from the

0:06.4

archives of my podcast mother load and this is one of my favorite episodes because

0:11.2

it's about one of my favorite topics having it all, doing it all.

0:16.8

And this conversation, this is a short episode so I don't really want to ruin the punchline for you, but I do think moms and in general motherhood is kind of

0:26.8

this limiting factor or there's a lot of conversation and belief and projection out there in the cultural zeitgeist you know and

0:35.0

that once you become a mother you can't have it all,

0:38.0

that you will have to sacrifice,

0:40.0

especially when it comes to work

0:42.0

and that there isn't a way to have it all.

0:45.0

And I challenge that belief system in this episode.

0:48.0

And of course, you know, I'm not saying,

0:50.0

I would never claim that you can always have everything you want all the time in your way on your terms with no help.

0:56.0

Of course that's not what I say here or that what I believe, you know, even now two years later from when this episode originally aired, but I do think it's a really important

1:05.6

conversation around what does having it all mean and how do we determine what that definition is in our own lives and how do we frame that up in a way that feels good and gives us the choice to define what having it all means and looks like and what type of support enables us to have it all.

1:25.0

And I just, mostly this conversation is about not succumbing to the belief that it's not

1:31.0

possible to have everything that you want,

1:34.0

meaning the life you want, the business you want,

1:36.0

the type of motherhood you want,

1:38.0

with the relationship that you want,

1:39.4

and all of that, that just by nature of becoming a mother you have to expect that you won't be able to have it all.

1:46.7

And that's really what I challenge in this episode.

1:49.1

And so if you're a mama, I think it'll resonate.
