📜 TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 15

O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

²He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
    and speaks truth in his heart;
³who does not slander with his tongue
    and does no evil to his neighbor,
    nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
⁴in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
    but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
⁵who does not put out his money at interest
    and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

0:00.0	Welcome back to the morning mindset. My name is Carrie Green and I am so glad you are
0:07.1	taking the time to connect yourself to right thinking this morning. Right thinking happens as we focus on truth, doesn't it?
0:18.8	People who are not focused on truth. People who live their life in ways that are contrary to truth.
0:27.3	Our people we say are crazy or insane, right?
0:32.2	They have not grasped reality around them and ordered their life
0:36.3	accordingly. And as believers in Christ, we do not want that to be us.
0:41.0	Amen. We want our minds to be aligned with the truth and in particular the
0:45.8	truth as God defines it because God himself is truth. That's the goal of the morning
0:52.0	mindset. That's what we are trying to do this morning.
0:55.1	And as we look at Psalm chapter 15, I want us to consider a question. You know we often as believers say that we want to dwell closely with
1:08.6	God. We want to walk closely with him. Okay we're talking in relational terms when we say that.
1:14.8	We want our heart to feel close to his heart.
1:17.2	We want him to feel close to us and us to feel close to him, you know, vice versa. How does that actually come about? Well, thank God, the primary
1:28.6	avenue through which we are able to get that kind of a relationship with God comes through Jesus Christ, our
1:35.7	Savior, right?
1:37.3	He died on the cross to make it possible for sinners like you and me to be drawn into close relationship with God.
1:45.0	And beyond that, there's nothing that can do to make that more a reality,
1:51.0	but there are things that we can do to help maintain and strengthen that
1:56.3	relationship. And that is what Psalm 15 is talking about. Now I have to be honest that back in the day in which Psalm 15 was written they did not have the
2:06.1	full revelation of Jesus Christ that we have.
2:10.0	And so this Psalmist was speaking more from a legal standpoint, meaning from a view of the Old
2:16.4	Testament law.
