Dear Helpers Excerpt:
It was a rainy and cold autumn afternoon. But Lydia didn’t mind that she couldn’t play outdoors today. She was perfectly happy to stay inside, because she had her boxes of markers and crayons and colored pencils. She even had a few glitter pens that she had gotten for her last birthday! So she was very content to stay at the kitchen table and create art.
Lydia had just begun drawing a portrait of her parents when she heard her Dad’s phone ring from the other room. She heard her Dad talking for a minute, and then he came into the kitchen.
