Slightly singed but yes I'm still here. How are you?

Yeah I'm great I really missed you last week. For those of you that didn't

listen to the last week's show as we were doing the countdown to get started with

Andy and Otco as a guest, literally Katie's house got hit by lightning and she her system got fried.

So we lost her mere seconds before we were supposed to start the show and at the time of course we didn't

know exactly what the problem was so we kept expecting her to show up and and you never made it Katie.

I never made it so yeah just to touch base briefly we had I'll say right now I'm sitting here at 70 degrees the sky is clear there's not a cloud in the sky

It's beautiful I almost contemplating podcasting from the back porch, but that was not the case last week when we were recording and you know I we could have contemplated moving the recording sometimes we do but we already had Andy scheduled you know Andy's a busy guy and it was just a dayluge outside as I outside as I was driving home.

I was actually on the phone with you.

But with a, you know, I still had power, I still had internet,

so we recorded.

And we got on the Skype horn with Andy, and I actually spoke to him a little bit and right as we were getting ready to

count down this bolt of lightning struck that I will tell you it was I've been had lightning strike damage.

I've lived here more than 30 years in this general area and I've had damage from lightning strikes I would say four to five

times and this lightning strike I think it hit in my either in the yard I actually I heard it. I saw it. The little hairs on my arm were

sticking up. I felt it. It was so close. But because as you know we've talked about on the show I've got these power

a PC battery backups on everything although my house lost power everything that I could immediately see my computer and my monitor were all still recording.

So I didn't realize that anything was out of the normal because everything was still up on my screen, but David was gone,

Andy was gone, my modem was gone, my power was gone, all of a sudden the APC started beeping,

and I realized that something was very very wrong.
