we are playing one of my favorite new fantasy adventure games and that is

Wander Home. You've probably already seen Wander Home as it is

Jay Dragon's runaway hit using the belonging outside belonging slash no dice no master's system.

Long time listeners might recognize Jay's work

as we featured one of Jay's games before when we played sleep away.

And gosh I have to tell you I am so excited about the ways Jay is using the belonging outside belonging system.

And that expertise really shows itself in Wander Home.

It gives players a really refreshing take on the fantasy adventure genre.

Wander Home describes itself as pastoral fantasy,

which I think is a term that will connect with some listeners,

but not all of them.

If you grew up reading Redwall or Lord of the Rings,

or modern takes on the genre, like at Madhya's Travel Log, or even in some ways Mouse Guard,

it's a type of fantasy that is more focused on discovery and living, one that builds itself on character to character moments.

Picture the parts of Lord of the Rings where they're walking around and sharing meals around a fire,

telling stories, singing songs, or in many cases having a big feast.
