Today on the show, it's a conversation with an illustrator and author that I'm a big

fan of, Lizzie Stewart from the UK.

Lizzie and I both got our start and illustration around the same time.

I was also in the UK when I graduated college.

We were in similar-ish circles and I've always been a fan of her work.

She has a new book that just was released in the US called Allison.

It's a graphic novel about a young artist getting their start in London with a kind of problematic

relationship with an older artist, established artist in the old guard kind of way.

It's really an incredible wrestling with the art world and ego and persona and authenticity

and feeling and it's just really great.

It made me emotional and I just blew right through it.

I read it super fast too.

Had a blast talking with Lizzie.

I had a lot of funny, cathartic moments and things that inspired my own practice and I think

you're going to really enjoy this and just absolutely love her work if you don't already know
