Hello Heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of one shot. I'm James

Damato your host in game master. Heroes this week we are continuing our price of

coal adventure. Before we get to our show, I want to talk about the IGDN diversity sponsorship.

Over the years, One Shot has been a proud supporter of the IGDN and their work to make the

game design world more diverse and inclusive.

And one of their biggest measures is the diversity sponsorship,

where they work with the good folks over at Double Exposure to bring folks to the

Medatopia Game Design Festival.

I've spoken about Medatopia on this show many many times it has a dear place in my heart.

It's a convention specifically dedicated to game design where designers can show up with

either alpha or beta prototypes and test out their games with a real audience of players and even other experienced game designers.

The sponsorship provides designers who otherwise might not have the opportunity to go to a convention like

medatopia with money for air travel, hotel rooms, and food stipends while they're

there. And on top of that the IGdN works to connect these designers with other experienced industry professionals, and last year they ran a digital event for designers who were left without a convention to attend, arranging direct mentorship opportunities, and using that money to just give recipients grants instead of paying for

convention resources. There are so many brilliant luminaries who have received

this sponsorship and gone on to do incredible things.

And I would love to see that trend continue.
