0:26.9	One is the obvious attraction and I would say interest that Charlie Kirk had in becoming a Catholic
0:34.6	in the months and weeks leading up to his on September 10th, 2025.
0:39.6	And at the same time, his rather hard shift away from the Zionism and the rah-rah
0:49.0	enthusiasm for the Israeli cause that characterized his whole life as an evangelical. This is one of the things
0:55.6	that many Catholics were prevented from fully endorsing what he was trying to do with Turning
1:00.0	Point USA. It was kind of a wrinkle. And I'm going to get into the reasons why evangelical Protestantism
1:05.6	with its dispensationalist heresy lines up very, very well with the aims of leadership in Israel.
1:14.5	And I think this helps explain why so many Zionist evangelicals are downright bitter
1:20.2	in their denial and denunciation that the whole idea of Charlie becoming interested in the Catholic
1:25.5	Church. By the way, they call it the Roman Catholic Church, or RCC. Quick aside, Roman Catholic originally began as an insult term from the first
1:35.3	generation of Anglicans under the Emeraldress and probably certifiably crazy King Henry VIII.
1:43.3	The Anglican Christians under Henry the VIII, when he broke away,
1:47.4	saying he wanted to become the head of the church in England,
1:50.8	they began speaking derisively against Roman Catholics.
1:55.8	In other words, Catholics who were in union with the Pope,
1:59.0	who happens to live in Rome.
2:02.8	So most Catholics do not use the term Roman Catholic for that reason. Now evangelicals love to throw it around because it sounds
