0:00.0 | Hey everybody, it's Delsing here. Welcome back to another episode of the Delsing |
0:21.0 | or Download. This is 38 and I am obviously not in the studio. Mike is in the |
0:28.2 | studio as you can see. What's up? I am out on vacation with my family but excited to talk about |
0:35.2 | everything going on this week. So we dialed in, the call to end Mike and there is a lot |
0:44.2 | happening in the sport. Anyways, since I'm on vacation, Mike, we got a great program that we want to share |
0:54.2 | with our followers. My sister Kelly is going to be introducing a series that we're going to do and we're going to call this |
1:04.2 | emergency motor sports. Often some of the best content that I see out in social media around motor sports is about the cost, the detailed cost, the decisions that need to be made, how that affects the business and how to run a race trim. |
1:22.2 | I've seen great content created by grassroots racers and it's fascinating, I think even for me, that knows a lot about the business and how to run a team and how much it costs and all those things. |
1:36.2 | It's still really fascinating to see how people do it and the decisions they make to go to the racetrack. So Kelly is going to be creating a new series called business motor sports and her first guest is Steve Lilletta and this man is the president of 2311. |
1:51.2 | So not only I guess that we're going to hear Kelly's insight on how our business model works in the Kennedy series, which is really fascinating. |
2:01.2 | But 2311, one of the newer teams, Danny Hamlin comes in and wants to create a business model or a race team that's a little bit different than how he's seeing race teams ran in his career. |
2:12.2 | Steve's got a unique background with you, and a few other programs, but also how they juggle all the challenges of coming into the sport and become a competitive on the couple level, how chargers work and how they acquire chargers and all these things. |
2:29.2 | It's going to be really fascinating and stuff Mike. So pretty exciting. That's going to be a series so it'll be reoccurring throughout the year. All right. |
2:35.2 | That's right. We'll do that tomorrow. But I've got to tell you Dale, we miss you. You're gone and we'll do this series. You know, started off with Steve Lilletta and Kelly while you're gone. |
2:46.2 | But man, you leave in the world sort of unravels around here. I mean, I'm going to taste them. I don't know if we need our leader back or what, but you know, Danny's gone off and made admissions on his podcast. |
3:00.2 | You know, junior motorsports found each other like magnets again over the weekend. I mean, what's going on here? |
3:06.2 | Yeah, that was that was tough to see on Saturday. |
3:11.2 | And all my friends are asking me how, how do you manage that or what do you do about that? |
3:18.2 | And you know, you got to, you know, I haven't had a chance to really sit down and talk to some of drivers. So I wouldn't want to sit on here and this would be the first thing that here out of my mouth out. |
3:29.2 | Over, you know, over what happened Saturday, but you know, you definitely want your guys to race each other a little less aggressively than they might race everyone else. |
3:43.2 | And obviously our, our drivers, you know, often get, you know, getting to pretty tough battles with each other. We've seen it before. And sometimes, sometimes Mike, it's okay. |
3:56.2 | And sometimes, you know, it's not. So you just, it's a balance. You don't, you know, there was a Charlotte race last year with Josh Barry and, and just an out guy and they beat on each other and, and lean on each other. |
