recall with the last episode, we discussed the federal's decision to send

reinforcements from the Army of the Potomac to help William Rosecran's hold Chattanooga.

And we also talked about how, on the Confederate side, Jefferson Davis made a trip to the Army

of Tennessee to try to solve the problem of its toxic command environment. But although

he sustained Braxham Bragg in command of the Army, Davis really didn't make things

any better. The inviting and backstabbing within the Army of Tennessee's high command
