Hey there, you're listening to the Lazy Genius podcast. I'm Kendra Adachi, and I'm here to help you be a

0:06.5

genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don't. Today is episode 420,

0:12.9

how to plan a day that has no plan. Welcome to summer, the time of year, often filled with days that have

0:19.8

no plans. Let's quickly define what I mean

0:22.7

by a day that has no plan and why you might want to plan at all. I bet you already know what to do

0:29.1

with a day that has no plans when that is exactly what you want. If you have a day with no plans

0:36.8

and you want it to stay that way, it will. You do not need

0:39.9

help for me. You will be so happy just laying around and responding to whatever comes.

0:45.7

To me, days on the beach are like this. Like you go to the beach, you set up your umbrella and your

0:50.3

towel, and then you just like enjoy it. You know, you're not, you're not thinking like,

0:54.9

okay, at 11, we're going to go for a walk, and then we'll come back by 1215 for sandwiches in the

0:58.6

cooler, and then it'll be time for beach volleyball, and then we're going to do a seashell gathering,

1:02.5

and then a sunset photo before we're into the place that we have dinner reservations.

1:06.3

Now, maybe that is how some of you go to the beach or how some of you might go to the beach with other

1:12.3

people. Like that's how they handle the beach. But like it doesn't matter. You get my point.

1:17.1

For the most part, when we go to the beach or maybe like a time away that's similar to that in

1:22.9

vibe, we have very few plans. And we love that. We love that that we're just where we are doing things in the

1:31.2

moment deciding that like you know i'd like to go for a walk right now and does anyone want to come

1:36.0

you know it's just a different energy those days where there is no plan are lovely days and i don't

1:43.1

think you need help with that. Keep the day planless.

1:46.3

That's beautiful. What I am talking about in this episode is different. It is a day where there is no

1:51.6

plan and you would really like there to be. Again, summer feels like it is full of those days.
