0:41.9	So, well, I'm excited about this show because I think, as we were mentioning in our dialogue
0:45.8	before the show, it's kind of revisiting some of the core components of recovery, what makes
0:52.0	recovery successful, what might make this process with a pure desire group
0:55.9	or a group in our church, what might make it different than other attempts that we've made?
1:00.0	And today, I think, is really a significant part of that because we're revisiting or exploring
1:06.1	really one of the key components of recovery at pure desire, and that is to surrender to the process.
1:12.2	And today we talked with one of our groups team experts,
1:15.9	our women's groups lead, Kelly Johnston,
1:18.0	and she had a lot to say about surrendering to the process.

1:28.1	Yeah, I think many of us, the word surrender is a challenging one because it feels in our
1:34.4	culture like weakness or like giving up or giving in, and those haven't always been positive
1:39.1	things. But that's what I hope people will really be able to see the clarity of. This doesn't mean giving up, or it doesn't mean giving in to someone controlling you. But it does mean, in a way, opening up my heart and mind to the things that I need help with and acknowledging that I need help. And trusting that God wants to help you. Yeah.
