Hi, I'm Olympian Carrie Tolifson and welcome to the C-Tolly Run podcast. Today we welcome

0:11.5

back to the show, Kira DiMato. Kira has done so much in her career. And now she has added

0:16.5

another title of author. She recently released her new book, Don't Call It a Comeback,

0:21.9

and it is awesome. Kira doesn't seem to slow down. She's a mother of two. She's a professional

0:27.5

runner, a motivational speaker, a race analyst with me. She's a realtor and is getting ready

0:34.1

to race the Valencia Marathon in just over a week. We catch up on a whole bunch of

0:38.6

things, and in honor of Thanksgiving, we hear all that she is thankful for. So let's get after it.

0:46.5

All right, Kira, welcome back. Thanks. I'm happy to be here. I do get surprised every time I am

0:54.0

like welcomed back. That is surprising to me that I didn't ruin it the first time with you, Carrie. But oh, my gosh, are you kidding me? Oh, I love it. Every week. I can do it. I mean, there's so much we could talk about. I mean, anyone who could have a different joke on their Strava every single day just has, you know, the capacity to just chat and be quick

1:13.5

on their feet. So, you know, and by the way, like, do you have to look them up? So sometimes I do.

1:22.2

Right now, it's like a self-propelling machine that people know me for like the Strava joke person. So I get

1:28.8

jokes like multiple jokes a day. And then like and then I sort through and some I've used

1:33.2

before and some maybe on Strava appropriate. And then some are great. And I use them. And I try to tag it

1:40.4

when I remember. So it's a self-propelling machine and I really appreciate the help.

1:45.1

I just always wonder like, when are they going to start? Like, when are you going to have to

1:48.7

double up on it? But it's not going to happen, I don't think. I have doubled up. And some people have

1:56.1

caught me. And I'm like, okay, so I can't double up anymore. But it's funny because I doubled up

2:00.7

actually, maybe this was like two months ago. And someone was like, okay, so I can't double up anymore. But it's funny because I doubled up actually,

2:01.1

maybe this was like two months ago. And someone was like, that's a funny joke, but you used it.

2:06.4

And I looked up when I'd used it. And it was like in June of 2021 or something or 2020. It was like years ago.

2:14.0

And so I give that person a lot of credit for like, being like that much of a daily joke

2:20.3

enthusiast, but then also having the storage capacity to remember that.
