I've been looking forward to this one. He is a family man. He's an entrepreneur, a military veteran, an author, a public speaker.

And this is the one known only, Nick Freitas. Welcome to the show, man. No, thanks for having me on, Zubi. It's an honor. Awesome. Well, Nick, I know that a lot of my audience are going to already be familiar with you and your work. But for those who aren't, just give you a little intro. Sure. Well, you know, I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 27 years this past Friday.

We have three grown children now, two daughters and a boy.

Join the military rat at a high school, served with the 82nd Airborne Division, the 25th Infantry,

and then served with Army Special Forces, kind of colloquially known as Green Berets in Iraq, did a couple tours over in Iraq,

got out of the military and ended up running for public office like a moron and served 10 years in the state legislature in the Virginia House of Delegates,

which was a tremendous honor.

I actually got to represent James Madison's district, who's the father of our constitution. And when I was in

politics, I started to get involved more in social media, in part because I realized that the press was

never going to give me a fair shake or even quote me correctly. And I realized very quickly that if I actually wanted people to

understand what I was doing, what bills I was carrying, why I was voting the way I was, I was,

or just kind of what was going on behind the scenes in politics, I needed to go directly to the

people because I felt like the press had a real agenda. And so I started to learn very quickly

that there was definitely a hunger for that. And so I started to learn very quickly that there was definitely

a hunger for that. And so I've been doing social media ever since. And now it's something of a

full-time job for me, along with being a husband and a dad and other things. Yeah. Is social

media something you ever thought that you'd find yourself in?

No. No. I do remember I was in the I was in first Special Forces group in the early 2000s.

And I remember when I got my first Myspace account. And I thought, oh, this is this is kind of interesting, you know, and then Facebook.
