Summary

As I wrap up with Billy Nevers (Lafayette/Jefferson on the Hamilton UK/Ireland tour), we kick off with questions from the Patreon Peeps. Billy talks about coming to terms with and taking the power back from problematic founding fathers like Thomas Jefferson, describing the terrifying and exhilarating first moments of starting the show as Aaron Burr, the beautiful madness of being in a cast with so many of his dearest friends, and why we should all be watching every iteration of The Traitors.

He's the second standby for

But Billy learned early on about the gatekeeping people of color have to deal with when trying to break into this industry.

0:51.0

Billy was able to get a scholarship but even when he was at

school he was more often than not the only person of color in his year. And as we

0:56.7

know, not having people of color in the room really informed what he was and

1:00.2

wasn't learning about. In his first two episodes Billy walked us through his

1:03.4

already very prolific career, Jesus Christ Superstar and Juliet, Legally Blonde, and

1:08.0

now Hamilton. We're gonna kick off this episode with the Patriot peeps, but
