So I had a bit of a blast from the past moment a week ago, and I don't want to share that

with you.

I'm your host, Cattle Gansers, a polygist and speaker, Trent Horn.

And I was asked to give a Q&A session on the dark passages of the Bible, in particular

to give an extended answer on the question of the slaughter of the Canaanites.

But also some other tough questions about God's free will and the permorphic descriptions

of God in the Bible came up in this class that is hosted at the Institute of Catholic

Theology.

Now, this means a lot to me because the founder of the Institute of Catholic Theology is

Eric Westby.

And Eric was my old youth minister.

So 20 years ago, when I was invited, the very first time to go to a Catholic Mass, to

go to a Catholic youth group, I was 16 years old.

Eric was the youth minister at that parish.

It's St. Teresa Parish in Phoenix, Arizona.

I dedicated why we're Catholic, my book why we're Catholic, to St. Teresa Parish.

Because if it wasn't for that parish, it's outreach at a public high school.

It's life nights and youth group that they did.

I don't think I would be Catholic.

God used them to bring me into the church.
